The Memorial
The MSG William J. Crawford Memorial will include the following three sections for
the initial phase of the project:
- MSG William J. Crawford Memorial - The center section of the wall honors MSG William J. Crawford, Palmer Divide's only Medal of Honor recipient. This will include a bronze sculpture in bas-relief commemorating significant elements of Crawford's life.
- Wall of Valor - The two side sections of the Memorial are the Walls of Valor. These sections pay tribute to heroic acts of valor bravely performed by other Veterans who are associated with the Palmer Divide region of Colorado.
- Freedom Trail (Paver Stone) - The Freedom Trail will have 8" x 12" inscribed pavers that form the plaza and walking paths. The pavers are Colorado natural stone and pay tribute to the honorable service of ALL Veterans with connections to the Palmer Divide region of Colorado.
